Given that the Universe is 156 billion light years wide, that would mean that there are approximately 70 sextillion stars which is 7 times 10^22. If there are about 10 planets around every star in the universe then that would mean that there is about 700 sextillion planets in the universe, but since knowbody really knows how large the Universe is since people can only see 13.7 billion light years away, because the universe is 13.7 billion years old and light has only traveled 13.7 billion light years, the universe could be much larger and there could be giggolplexes of planets. A googol is 10^100 or 10 tetrated to 1 since there is 1 ten, a 1 followed by 100 zeros and a googolplex is 10^10^100 or 10^googol, which has 1 googol zeros, which is ten tetrated to 2. A giggol is 10 tetrated to 100 and a giggolpelx is 10 tetrated to a giggol, which is 1 followed by a giggol zeros, and a giggolduplex is 1 followed by giggol zeros, and a giggoltriplex is 1 followed by a giggolduplex zeros etc. My guess at least 700 sextillion planets and if you count moons, it could be well over a decillion moons and planets in the universe. A decillion is 10^33.

There are over 200 identified planets known to exist. Though we can make an estimate that billions of planets exist. As It's hard to detect planets because of their faintness and how they're stars glare them out. Stars come from nebulae hundreds of lightyears across, when they begin to contract under their own gravity, collapse, and begin to shine from nuclear reactions other then gravitational contraction. As nebulae fall inward, it forms a flattened disk, which if not blasted away, will clump into proto-planets, which will further evolve. Many stars also orbit in a multi-star system.
