There is no evidence of an atheism "fad". That's just what the god botherers tell themselves rather than admit that the information readily available on the internet really is, thank god (heh), leading to the demise of religion in the west.

No-one who actually believed in a vengeful god would call themselves an atheist. Only people who truly have broken free of religious brain washing are willing to say that, and teens are more than smart enough to figure out that there are no gods. Once free of that system of mental enslavement, do you really think they'll embrace it again later in life?

Some might, but most are truly free for life. It isn't a fad.

2. Being told I'm going to hell because I'm not christian/part of the right christian sect offends me, so as soon as you can get people to stop preaching, I'll work on getting people to stop spouting their beliefs that dont match yours...
3. There might be an atheistic fad going on, but given there's more religious teens than not and you can be sure they never questioned anything in their lives, maybe it's not a bad thing...

Well, there's also a THEISTIC fad: Some teens claiming to be Christian, not because they truly believe, practice, or know much about it; but because it makes them feel better about themselves, or makes them LOOK like a better person... in their mind.
