How good is vinegar and water for spot cleaning? I heard it is the thing to use. Is it better than products one can buy from a store?

Dear beam_me,
Vinegar may not be a better cleaner than store bought but it sure is safer. Some say it will sanitize as well as clean mold and mildew. If you use it with baking soda it becomes an all purpose scrub cleaner because of the grit in the baking soda. I use it because both hubby and I have sensitivities to scents and we find the vinegar is not offensive to us like perfumed cleaners. As a spot cleaner I highly recommend it.
Sue...good luck
