How does toothpaste prevent pimples?

Me :] Asked by peaceoutmyhead about 1 year ago, 5 answers.

I know a lot of people say it works when you use it over night, but what does it do? And how do you get it to stay on your face and not rub on your pillow?

Not familiar with how or if it works, but you can keep it in place with a band-aid and not smear..

it just dries up the skin so it makes it smaller as well.. thats all it does... it doesnt really help prevent it or anything.,

If you use paste (not gel), it just dries up on the face, it doesn't get on the pillow. All you need is a little dab to cover the area, go to sleep lying on your back and it'll be dry by the time you put your face in the pillow.

I don't know why it works. Like I said before, my dad says it "suffocates" and dries out the pimple.
Just try it! If you're that concerened about it, then put a bandaid over it.

all toothpaste does is dry out your pimples to reduce the size, it doesn't prevent pimples, but washing your face everyday does.

umm ppaaaiigeeeyy has no idea what they are talking about...washing your face has little to nothing to do with pimples and acne...do research from a CREDIBLE source and you'll know.
