How do you hide a tongue piercing?

lalala. Asked by evil_crazy_gum 9 months ago, 8 answers.

I got my tongue pierced about 2 months ago, but took it out after 6 days because my parents didn't approve.

Now I'm studying abroad at a relative's, and I want my tongue pierced again w/out my aunt and uncle noticing (or else my parents will...

eventually find out).

HOW??? All the lisping, and not being able to eat well. Also, the last time I got my tongue done didn't hurt at all, but as the swelling took process it was totally painfull. What can be done about that? I'm an asian girl studying in Latin America. HELP!

There really isn't that much you can do other than trying to physically keep your tongue in your mouth and not talk. Maybe wait until you are of an age that your parents will approve of it. Sorry

umm well you could get it pierced with a skin/tongue coloured bar thing. or a clear one.

and try not to talk much until it hurts less. and you could just eat stuff like soup. and have smoothies to fill you up for a while.

At first when you get your piercing you got to wear the metal barbell right? There is no way you can change that barbell due to its swelling..So for the first week if you want to hide your piercing is quite difficult.

Maybe you can try not to talk to anyone. As in..You wake up only when they are out..You go home only when they're asleep.

After swelling then change to a flat-top barbell.Hope this will help.Good luck!

Obviously your parents don't approve for a reason.
They aren't just going to say "No" to something because they feel like it. Why would you disrespect your parents and go against their rules? If you want to make your own choices you should wait till your a bit older, and more mature, so you make the right ones. For now you should listen to your parents.

Simply learn to talk without opening your mouth so far. It's really not that hard once you get the hang of it. =] But eventually they will find out. Sorry to break it to you. Don't you're parents take you to the dentist?

Im only 14 and me and my friend are going to get this done next year,

My main plan is to try to start to open my mouth less when I talk (which I am going to do from now just to practice so theres less chance of slip ups at the time)
and the dentist thing.. just get it done a while before the next dentist appointment
then take it out for the time your in there
and try not to draw attention to your tongue while in the chair
also im just going to say to my parents that I think im old enough for them to wait outside the dentist untill im finished, that way I can explain the situation to the dentist if he does notice the hole in my tongue
or lie that its just a small cut I got a few days before

Oh and also a good idea is to get a clear or pinkish colored bar.. this wont be much good for anyone who looks closely but will help people looking from a distance

Good Luck
