How do you cure a sinus problem?

cute Asked by saucybaby about 1 month ago, 8 answers.

Every morning when I wake up I sneeze and have to blow my nose. Any little speck of dust that enters my nose causes me to sneeze like crazy. Is there anything I can use to stop or ease this problem? I have had it for as long as I can remember. Allegra works but only for a while

I have one of the worst allergies. I have allergies outside, indoors and I'm allergic to some foods too. I have tried Allegra. I hate it. I have tried Claritin. I hate it too. The only allergy medicine I use is Zyrtec. And now you don't even need a perscription! It's really great. It's a small white rectangular pill, you drink it once a day and it's perfect for anyone over the age of 12. By the way, one of my best friends has worse allergies than me and she likes Claritin but once she tried one of my Zyrtecs and said it worked the best. She's changing soon too.

By the way Ty, Singulair is not medicine for allergies. It does relieve some allergy symptoms but it's main purpose is for those who have asthma as myself and should not be taken for everyday allergies.

I hope this helped.

Hm, I may have to try zyrtec then...I've been using claritin (get the 'claritin d - not the regular stuff, as the non 'd' version is worthless).

For me, claritin d works for my seasonal allergies, however, it does *not* help with my cat allergy so when I visit my parents, I suffer. A lot

Well TheDude, I suggest Zyrtec. I'm allergic to cats as well and it helps me a lot. Don't go around carrying the cat with you everywhere though. Hehe.

'SINGULAIR® (montelukast sodium) is a prescription medicine approved to help control asthma in adults and children as young as 12 months and to help relieve the symptoms of indoor and outdoor allergies (outdoor allergies in adults and children as young as 2 years, and indoor allergies in adults and children as young as 6 months).'

Have your home (your bedroom) checked for dust mites, black mold, etc.

Visit an Allergist for testing to determine what you're more susceptible to.

Again, Singulair does RELIEVE but it's used to CONTROL ASTHMA. You make the wise choice. Trust me. I take both and see my doctor regularly. Singulair is best for asthma, not allergies.

Yes, it does both, as it's website says.

P.S. I'm asthmatic too... I know it works for asthma...
