Save your data on a different disk and reinstall Windows... There are other options but this one saves you the most time. BSODs are the worst errors Windows can have, so that means its falling apart.

A simple issue is that it may also be overheating. Overheating can cause many a symptom. Check to make sure that its not too hot, that the fans are spinning, etc.

How do I stop getting the blue screen of death? (bsod)

Alright so there's a few things wrong with my computer. It's just over 1 year old and it was ""built"" by a friend of mine.
First of all... if you slightly bump it(the tower), it disrupts the power source (and to get it back you just have to fiddle with all the cords until it decides it wants to work again.)
So it shut off a few months ago and I was so busy with work that I just didn't touch it for a few months. SO now I've moved the entire thing to another part of the room and rehooked everything up. It was working fine.
BUT now certain things seem to trigger the BSOD (hitting the drop down box when searching for files... using the cd rom... having too many programs open) and sometimes it will go into a never ending restart mode so that I have to shut it off for about 20mins before it'll start up normally again. (it used to do the BSOD but no where near as frequent. It used to be only when you used the cdrom)
DO I have any hope of saving my computer or should I just give up and buy a new PC?
