Dear brandii,
Ah...normal progression. Every relationship has stages and yes, you go though the first stage and now you are normally progressing to the second. This is when some relationships end when one thinks that they must always have that first stage of excitement. No relationship stays on the first stage and if it did we'd be very tired all the time. You have become comfortable with your partner and know what to expect. So if you want to bring a little excitement back do something a little spontaneous. Take a trip, go water rafting, go to the midway etc. etc. Remember the first stage does not last in any relationship...we call this the honeymoon stage.
Sue...good luck
I totally agree with SUE90..a lot of times people think something in the relationship is wrong..but its not..its just the natural course of things. In the beginning, you always have that "getting to know each other" newness chemistry...but it wears off fairly quickly usually after around 3 mths or so. It's just a different stage in the relationship like sue said..
Yes, Sue is right. That first stage is a period of discovery... where you're constantly learning things about each other and find out what you have in common. It's exhilarating. You can talk on the phone till 4 am and even function the next day.
So, when you settle in, and become comfortable, that's why it's still important to do things together. When you travel, or (on a smaller scale) go to see a movie, you share in each others' joys and experiences and have more to talk about.
You could even try being apart for a day just to see what it's like to miss him. lol. My husband used to do that to me and I HATED IT... but now I can sort of see why.
