How do I get dreadlocks?

Is there a certain place I could get them done? How do they...like...get in my hair..or whatever?

they have a product for temporary dreadlocks but if you want the real deal, don't wash or brush your hair.

My friend did it himself.
He put about 10 braids all in his hair,and he didnt wash it or brush it for a few months.
It all kinds Grew together,in Dreadlock form.
He ended up getting them cut,though.Because it just made his hair sort of unhealthy,and his hair was extremely dirty,and had things in it.
Weird!

I would'nt want them because I hate my hair feeling all dirty.
