Well he is really sweet and I hear that he really like me but he is way 2 shy and I would like 2 know how do I break up with him without hurting his feelings

Don't lie. Lies stay with you until they are discovered. Just tell him that you don't think the two of you are compatible, and you would love to still be friends if he is ok with that.

I hate to say this, but you got to lie to him somehow so that he doesn't think about you anymore... thats what'll break his heart.
