Boosting up your confidence is your own inner struggle that only you can fight, but I'm hear to give you some adivicee =)
First off, I know this is tough, but being shy will get you nowhere in this world; in school or out. How are you going to get that dream job by being timid in the interview? How is that wicked hot guy going to notice you if you never talk to him? And it's true, confidence helps become louder and more "spunky" and get noticed!
And in order to get noticed, try a new look! Maybe a new hairstyle or some eyeliner and lipgloss? If you have skin blemishes, use proactiv which works like a charm! Over time, expand your wardrobe. Buy a new piece? Take an old one out! That way your closet will become fully updated. After you get your new look, take part in another afterschool activity to get the word about the new you out! Scared? Take a close friend to keep you grounded. Wow your other classmates with your charm AND scary-good skills in whatever the activity is.
Because you are feeling better about the way you look, you'll feel like you can branch out more. Making new friends never hurts! Make sure that wherever you are, OWN IT! That makes the on-looking girls jealous and want to be part of the party. But also, keep your cool, you don't want to all of a sudden be the "obnoxious biotch who won't shut up"!
=) Hope I helped!
Hey! Just be yourself and try to speak up in class more often.
