I grew up with insecurity issues like this too so I know what you're going through. I discovered that I had to feel good about myself before I could expect anyone else to feel good about me. My path to self-esteem was through education. I love to learn and now I read up on everything I can and talk to as many people as I can. It gives me great pleasure to learn new things and to apply them in my life.
Somewhere in my journey, I finally learned that we all have the same types of hopes and fears. Those who try to bring us down are plagued with insecurity themselves and need to tear others down in order to make themselves feel equal. How sad for these people! So I try to encourage and uplift people now and I find that that helps me feel better about myself too.

How can I feel equal to people?
For my entire life (all 16 years) I've felt everyone is better than me and I'm just an extra burden on everyone around me. Even my family, because thats how my divorced parents seemed to have treated me. This really holds me back from doing what I want...
to do and being confident. I feel so low to everyone, how can I feel like I am worth something?
