The CN Tower in Toronto, Ontario, Canada is the biggest tower currently, though, standing 553.33 meters (1,815 ft 5 in) tall. It's also the world's largest freestanding structure on land, and arguably the largest building in the world (if a tower is considered a building, that is).

Currently as of March 17, 2008 the tallest tower is the KTVL Mast which is 628 meters. The tallest Freestanding Tower is the Burj Dubai, still under construction at 612 meters. The Burj Dubai is also the tallest skyscraper and will be about 818-1011 meters tall when it is completed in 2008. The Al Burj will be about 1,200 meters, The Mubarak Tower will be 1,001 meters, The Murjan City Tallest Tower will be 1,022 meters, The Mile High Tower will be 1,600 meters. For comparison the Empire State Building is 381 meters.

Currently as of March 30, 2008 the tallest tower ever built is the Burj Dubai at 650 meters tall. The tallest Freestanding structure in the world is the Burj Dubai, still under construction. The Burj Dubai is the tallest skyscraper, tallest freestanding structure, and tallest manmade structure of any sort or kind ever to be built on the face of the planet Earth in its 4.54 billion years of history. The Burj Dubai will rise to around 950-1011 meters tall.
