Will my husband be deported with an expired passport?

I am married to an illegal immigrant here in the united states we are 20 years and have a baby together he has been here since he was 15 years old he came on a passport from mexico but now his passport isn't good from all the laws they have changed I am...

scared he will get deported and he is all I have here we don't have much of a family I need help to fix his papers so he can become legal? how can I do it? other than a lawer they will not help me because he is an illegal but there are services that will help that I have heard of do you know of anything I can try please help our family!!!

Unfortunately, we can' t give you legal advice here - we're not lawyers. And yep, I've dealt with the INS and now the DHS on immigration issues for my family as well. The best thing you can do is find a community, non profit agency in your area to give you a referral to a lawyer who can at least hear your case & give you some suggestions and options.

If we give you advice, it could wildly inaccurate because we don't know the laws, facts, or circumstances.

Years ago, I worked at a non profit social services agency that helped Spanish speaking immigrants in the US...and, I'm willing to bet there are similar services where you live, if you call around and ask people in the local social services, government or similar offices, they can help direct you. So I assume you are not a US citizen either, or else you could have filed papers for him.

This is an extremely easy problem to solve. He can just walk into any Mexican consulate/embassy and get his passport renewed without any problems.

I am a u.s citizen but its not that easy just to walk in and renew the passport because now yu have to come with here to the U.S with a passport and a visa the law changed in 2001 and we have tried through a lawer but they dont help they just steal your money and tell you to go back to mexico its crazy here in alabama I think I could try to go to another state do you yhink bit would help? any ways thanks por la respuest the answer. bye.

Yeah the CHILD doesn't have to leave. Like thedude said we're not lawyers here.. but one thing I just don't get... what part of ILLEGAL do people NOT understand?!?!

Does U.S. require Passport of a person who is being deported?
If one does not have a passport, where will he be deported?
