Why can't I fall asleep?

I can never go to sleep. sleeping pills dont work and I feel restless at night. I sometimes read before bed and get really tires, yet I cant fall asleep and im so exausted in the AM.

anyway to make me relax/sleep well??

Could it be caffeine? Are you drinking coke or pepsi, coffee, before you go to bed? Also don't do a work out before you go to sleep... your body will still be wide awake.

exercise more and keep busy during the day, you'll be more tired at night, hopefully! if not maybe you should see a doc if your really worried.

A good thing to try that always works for me is just lay in the dark in a comfortable position. Close your eyes and think about something, but you have to really think, like something that happened to you or just anything really. But almost imagine yourself in the thought, a lot of the time you will end up dreaming about what you were thinking before you fell asleep. I hope it helps because it works for me..

That sucks:

What does a normal day in your life comprise of? Maybe you don't have enough physical activity going on during the day.

It could also have something to do with your diet.

Or

It could have something to do with a psychical problem: which keeps you from sleeping good

If the problem is unresolved you should see a doctor.

You can go run around play outside the whole day and you will be yired because all of your energy is wearing off. I have the same problem before. Also wake up early and go to bet what ever time you go. Hope it works love ya <3

Cut back on sugars, and caffeine. Go for a job in the early morning before school, or right after. That usually will tire you out. I myself find it hard to sleep sometimes, but that's related to nightmares I have about Iraq and other things.

I find waking up early, and exercising, let's me fall asleep better and longer.

Remember, you need at least 4 hours of undisturbed sleep to have any chance of feeling 100%
