Well, if you arms look like an ape, like Robin Williams maybe. lol Or if you are an avid swimmer; But to shave your arms just because people say you should.. You need to ask your self, if you want to? View you self without it, and or try this.. Shave just a tiny bit off of the top right around your shoulder area.. this way it is not so noticeable.. this way you can tell if you'd like it or not maybe?

Nair your arms it will grow back lighter and thinner- I shave sometimes and nair sometimes - I am completly happy- it can come back prickly if you shave- nair is best - exfoliate so you dont get ingrowns and their are creams that also make the hair come back lighter and thinner. It is really popular in California I dont know any girls with hair on their arms, maybe in the winter!

I shave my arms and have for years. The hair is mostly blond and thin so people ask me why and want to know if it comes back darker and thicker. I tell them I do it because I just like the way it looks and even after all these years if I go awhile without doing it, it still hasn't come back in darker or thicker. I hope this helps you!

I guess it's okay if you have really light or blonde hair.. but if you have brown hair or anything darker you shouldnt because it's going to grow back thicker and darker. once you shave your arms.. you have to shave them forever.

It's a myth that hair will grow back thicker and darker.

I think this goes around because initially when hair comes back, before it has time to age and soften and lighten up, it will seem as if it is thicker and darker. Give it time, it will even out.

I know a girl at work who shaves her arms and combination waxes it from time to time as well. It's super smooth and cute. I was actually thinking of shaving my arms lately. I'm a little beary.

It's like anything else, it will require maintenance. But really, what is it? A couple more minutes in the shower ever couple days. Not a big deal.

I say try it.

Most of the girls I know shave their armpits and I say yeah go for it! I think that it looks a lot more attractive and no it doesn't grow back thicker and darker or anything like that aslong as you shower/bath regularly. You can also now get deoderants that make your armpits softer like "NIVEA-PEARL beauty". I have it and it is very good and also smells really nice! Hope this helped! x

shaving your arms makes it come bakc thicker, unless you put cream on them.. Its a hassel you dont have to bother with why put in extra effort we do enough shaving our legs and armpits why dont guys bother with that stuff eh. If your hairs dark.. and long.. cut it with sisscors.. If its blonde dont even bother you cant see it. It sucks because hairs grow back real fast and it prickels you.. guys think its super weird and arm hairs are the last thing they look at.. trust me. lol If you have brown hairs.. get blonde hair dye and dye it.. that would be the best idea I think.. if it really bothers you.. it shouldnt.. I use to but once you start and those prickels come in.. you find yourself trapped and HAVING to shave them because you dont want to feel those prickels.. its annoying as heck. Every time a guy asked me if I shaved them I felt embaressed to say yes or they would be like " YOU SHAVE YOUR ARMS??:| " pretty embarassing if you ask me.. I dnot recomend it.. if girls tell you to.. its because they do it and find it weird but its not at all. think about howmany people out there DO shave there arms and how many dont.. Its pretty weird dont you think? It never botherd you before so why should it now? just because a bunch of girls said you should? be comfortable with it.

I've been shaving my arms for a very long time, and it takes about 3 days or so for the hair to grow back to half a centimetre..its not too bad..the arm feels prickly when the hair grows back, but sometimes feels prickly the day after, even if you cant see the hair..this is because all the different directions of hair growth, because when shaving you cant just follow the direction of hair growth as you can in waxing..you have to make it smooth, and this means that hair grows back in all directions..its more annoying that the arm feels prickly, rather than any hair being visible..its completely upto you..I havent noticed the hair growing back darker or thicker..and you can always wait a month or so..sometimes not even that..for hair to grow back and then you can get it waxed..

When I was younger I shaved my arms and I really regret it because it grew back darker, longer, and thicker and it was blond, but I didn't really know then. And it's still thick, dark and long. And I was wondering if there is anyway to fix that because I really don't want to shave my arms?

I shaved mine once in a dare with my friends, and it was rather cool having hairfree arms for the time, and my hair grew back pretty slowly and thin and still rather light. I guess it depends on the person.

I use nair on my arms. I know it stinks but when it comes to arms nair works better then shaving.
