I can only suggest being yourself; don't try too hard, because you want them to like you for you and not for someone you're not, don't you?

I would also suggest to not wear heaps of make up; it shouldn't be caked on, and to not wear trashy clothing, if you know what I mean.

I hope that some women will answer this question as well, and give you more and most likely better advice. lol
