You can't find the area of a slope... a slope is the steepness of a line... do you mean the area under a particular line/function?

They may be asking for the side of the slope in which case there may be two other lines attached forming a triangle. The formula the you would use is Asquared +Bsquared= Csquare. If the slope is the longest line then you will actually minus Asquared and Bsquared. Good luck!

Yes, the slope is the steepness of the line! But you might be thinking of how to find the slope if there are two other lines that could connect with it to form a triangle. In this case, you would use:

A squared + B squared = C squared

If you are looking to find the area of the triangle that is formed by the two lines plus the line of the slope, than first of all, the slope will not matter, and this is the equation:

(Base x Width) divided by 2

Good luck, and if you have any other questions, just let me know! Hope I answered your question!

you find the SLOPE of a line by

y1 - y2 y2 - y1
--- OR ---
x1 - x2 x2 - x1

Example: If your two cordinates were (2,3) (6,5)

3 - 5 -2 1
--- = --- = ---
2 - 6 -4 2

5 - 3 2 1
--- = --- = ---
6 - 2 4 2

As you can see; it works either way.
