A couple more verses about hell.
The entire earth will be cleansed by fire. I Peter 3:10, RSV. "And then the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fire, and the earth and the works that are upon it will be burned up."
Who is destroyed in the lake of fire? Revelation 20:15, NIV. "If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."
Please send me a shout if you want to ask me anymore questions; I'll do my best to answer them for you. God bless you.
Hmmm... lake of fire, a firey furnace, 'Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire.'
Whoa, Hades (Greek) + lake of fire (Christian), that's double trouble there. I guess combining two different religious hells makes it a lot hotter.
Wow... you know... all this talk about fire and torment, kinda makes God seem like a sadistic pyromaniac.
HELL IS SOOO NOT IN THE CENTRE OF THE EARTH!
because if hell was the centre of the earth...then earth would have melted ages ago...lol...I mean hell is like HOTTER than the SUN..O_o"...*twitch twitch*...
and you know that saying stop, drop and roll...im sorry but that just WONT WORK IN HELL...scarey...O_o..*faints*
Most ancient religions did believe that souls would spent part or all of the afterlife under the earth (hence the term underworld). As beliefs about hell developed over time, some religions, including some early Christians, did believe that hell was a physical place within the earth. Few people still believe that today.
Maybe there is a different dimension in the universe that we can't see. psychic Sylvia Brown says that "heaven" is really where we all go to go "home". She also says that this dimension is 3 feet up. According to her, this earth is practice for life on the "other side" and that this is kind of "hell".
Here are some more references to Hell, to help us better understand the biblical concept, and also, the references to Hell as being "below", giving one some indication of where Hell is.

Yes - I believe hell is in the center of the earth. I was convinced after visiting this website http://www.av1611.org/hell.html and listening to the actual voices of people in hell that were found by Dr. Azzacove and his drilling team of scientist when they actually recorded this and he was even an Atheist. Listen to these sounds that came from the center of the earth and no one will ever doubt again.
