yes I had to read it for my english class and I got an exam on it next year but I still love it, I really relate to him, but not in the physco way some people take the book (e.g. the guy who shot john lennon was obbessed with the book and based his life/killing on it). Yes however it is a really good book I recommend it. It's about a teenage boy who is troubled with the world of adulthood and not sure whether he wants to grow up or stay a child. He always wants to be the protector of children 'catcher in the rye'. Basically he gets chucked out of another all boys boarding school and goes to new york living the life of an 'adult'. He recognises how phoney people are, he is lonely and depressed, etc etc. It has some very deep meanings which would take me forever to go into. But enjoy :D
I read it, but I never have understood why it is associated with conspiracies. I barely remember what it was about, but it had nothing to do with conspiracies and the reason I read it was because of the movie, 'Conspiracy Theory.'
Yes, it's one of my favorite books. You should read it.
yeah thats a good book if you understand it. its real deep in meaning

Has anyone ever read "the catcher in the rye"?
