I have read some of the books. Some are abit different to the movies but I think you should give them a go and if you find them boring just leave them and maybe try again a few weeks later.

the books are way better than the movies. I think the movies are terrible, they leave out so much of the story and whats left often doesnt really make sense!

I love the movies and I love the books. I've read all of them. the books are different, they have a lot more story line to them, especially the farther along you get in the series. I would def recommend reading the books as well

the books have a lot more details that makes the story more enjoyable. The movies skips a lot of those.

I have only watched the movie and I had to watch it twice because I kinda lost the plot the first time. how many more movies are they going to make? 5 movies later and still harry cant kill the bad guy.

The books add more dimension...simply because you can't put a whole movie out of a book...you will lose the story if you don't read the books...so read read read they are fun and you move fast...JKR writes well. also, some things in the movies were changed from the books..

Read the books! The only reason the movies made any sense to me is that I had the whole story from the books first. The books are well-written, too, so they move along rather fast. There is so much content in the books that any movie that held that much would probably be more than 10 hours long.
