I'm taking guitar lessons this summer, but before hand I'd like to know what kind of guitar I should get. Fender? Gibson? Rickenbacker? And it's acoustic by the way..

My first guitar was a Yamaha acoustic. Great guitar for a low price, and perfect to learn on. I'd also stick with thinner strings (light or ultra light) to begin with. They're a little easier on the fingertips. :-)
