Which type of guitar to play?

I'm thinking of playing a guitar, but I don't whether to go for
BASE OR ELECTRIC (ruled out acoustic guitar)
what do you think

Bass is pretty easy and you can lay down some sweet sounds on it, besides there are already to may guitar players in the world.

You can get a good sound out of a base with not much practice, but if it were me, I'd go with electric.

I have and electric guitar, so I prefer electric but
I do also like the Bass, it seems easier to play.
