Why is my male guinea pig biting the babies?

My male guinea pig is biting the babies
why ? Di I have to take him out of the cage

He'll end up eating the babies...take him out and give the mom a break from protecting them!!

It may be a sign of dominance. You probably should separate any males from femaies, especially the "father" guinea pig from the babies seeing how they will most likely try to mate with any female babies. If there are any male babies, and the father keeps attacking them as well, then you might have to separate him all together.

Yes, take him out - they don't take a role in bringing up the babies, and he could easily end up eating them.

Yes whenever those types of animals have babies you take the male out of the cage because the male will eat them. SAME THING FOR HAMSTERS ETC.

the male is tryng to win over his territory. if you dont take him out he will eat all the babies, trust me, it happened in my biology class, and was so sad.
