How to easily get temporary guardianship?

Asked by fau about 1 year ago, 1 answer.

I'm moving back to Ohio to go to Elida High School. I will be living with someone other than my parent. I have parental consent, of course. I've called numerous attorneys and they all say I need to hire an attorney and it will cost 500 dollars and up to...

3 months to transfer guardianship. I don't want to completely transfer the guardianship, I just need temporary guardianship so that the people I will be living with can sign school papers and such since my mum will be in Tennessee and me in Ohio. I was wondering where I would get a Caregivers Authority Affidavit seeing as how it seems most simple. If there are any more simple processes that would be VERY good to know, as school starts August 29th. What are some different options? Any help? Thank you in advance!!

Hi,

You can get the form for temporary guardianship from here:
http://www.ilrg.com/...

Then it must be notarized and filed in the court. I'm not sure how long it will take.

Good luck.
