Grandfather trouble

Asked by allmeroth 9 months ago, 5 answers.

how would I get my grandfather out of the kitchen when I want to listen to music on the computer? for example: my aunt that lives with me says grandfather doesn't want to hear music or me talking to him while he is cooking. unfortunately the computer is...

right smack dab by the kitchen and I want my ears to be free!! example: I don't want to use head phones! I know he is old and hes probably going to die soon and he should have that opportunity but right now it is sooo frustrating I know this question is a little selfish but if there was another way to deal with this problem I would so do it!! so help me by giving any any any advice you have k thanx

Respect your grandfather's wishes - not too much to ask - you could certainly use the computer later or those headphones ! - this question is not a LITTLE selfish, it reeks of 'spoiled brat' - you yourself said he probably won't be around much longer - think about that !!

um ok old people really don't like music. Trust me I've had experience! lol
and like in the kitchen play cards or just talk bout things he'll like to talk about!!
For him that would make his day!!

If you REALLY wanted to listen to the music, you'd corral your ears, and wear the earphones..."Free ears"...give me a break!

That's called "compromise"...which is about the best you're going to get at this stage of the game.

I think you should offer to do the cooking, and the clean up, so your grandfather can have a break. While you're in the kitchen alone, turn up the volume.

I agree with pinkpearl. It's one thing if he is just sitting in there complaining to you, but he's cooking in there. I mean that's the only place he can cook and I'm sure he's not the only one who eats. it's pretty ridiculously selfish of you, in my opinion.
