Is a grandaddy long legs spider the most venomous?

Is a Grandaddy Long Legs (some call it the Daddy Long Legs) spider the most venomous spider in the world, however, its mouth parts are too small to bite? (I know the answer, I just want to see what some others will say)

That's what I've heard previously, that the daddy long legs spider was the most venomous spider. However, I don't know for sure if it is indeed the most poisonous spider out there. Care to tell, now I'm curious.

I dunno...I live where they are like everywhere. And I have held so many but, everyone says they are the most venomous so it kind of scares me!

I've always heard they are harmles...if not I've been in allotta risk because I used to pick them up and put them on my arms and walk around playing with them...I dont think they are the most venomous...?

ok first off the Harvastman ( Daddy longlegs) isn't a spider at all, but rather something related to the spiders, as are scorpions, ticks, mites, centipedes and millipedes.
If you look at the body of a Daddy-longlegs with your magnifying glass, you'll see why it's not a spider. First of all, instead of its body consisting of two parts, the cephalothorax and the abdomen, as with spiders, there's just one thing. A Daddy Longlegs has its head, thorax, and abdomen all fused together. Second, instead of the spider's usual eight eyes, a Daddy Longlegs just possesses two.
Second You don't need to be afraid of Daddy Longlegs because they have no venom at all.

Think of it this way, nature rarely screws up when making animals. If it had venom that strong, it would be specifically for taking down animals that needed that strong a venom. However, the myth says "It can't kill humans because it's teeth aren't sharp enough" or some such nonsense. So, it couldn't use the venom even if it had it! Using that kind of logic, it probably doesn't have that strong of venom, because nature doesn't work that way.

They are apparently, but they say they're fangs are to small to inject they're poisen so we're safe =]

I've always been told not to fear Grandaddy long leg spiders...weird. I thought the most venomous was the black widow in the US.

I've always heard they are harmless.
However.
I've also heard that they are the most venomous "spider" but that their teeth/fangs aren't big enough to inject their venom into your body, therefore rendering them harmless.

All of your answers are at least in part correct. The "daddy longlegs" is indeed extremely venomous, and had it fangs, it possesses sufficient venom to kill a horse, let alone a man. Fortunately it has no ability to puncture your skin and inject venom.
The venom can, however, be extracted, and made into a concentrated poison. This has been known by intelligence services, and has possibly been used in three or four
assassinations.

they are not poisenous cause I pick them up and they dont have any venom to poisen anything and they are really cool!

Daddy long legs are actually a type of aphid and not a spider at all. Im not too sure about the venom part though and I really doubt daddy long legs have been involved in assassinations.
