Why would you miss having this wonderful evening with your family? In most cases family should come first. Take this opportunity to show your dad how glad you are that he is your father. Not only should you go with family but perhaps you can make him a card and show your love.

talk to them, maybe they can all go to the same place, so it's like a double birthday. I've seen it on tv a lot.
