My questions...

1.)has anyone actually finished the bible??
2.)how do you actually get yourself to read the bible??
3.)how would you know if the bible is actually true and not made by some crackpot.
4.)has anyone not finish the bible??
5.)is the bible...

...I can never get myself to finish the bible...it's sorta, well...boring.

1) I got most of the way through, but found the characters two-dimensional and the plot repetitive. Also, far too many "begats".

More seriously, though...
2) Few people read it cover-to-cover. They usually just consult it to justify whatever position they've already decided is right. I find http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com/ particularly useful, though.
3) You don't. Though really, it's a collection of crackpots, not just one.
5) The heavier editions are good for thumping people with, if that's what you mean.

Well thats exactly what I think, I mean any one coulda written that piece of crap, they had nothin better to do back then

the bible's more for spiritual belief
it's not really supposed to be broken down into did this really happen scenarios
I'm not saying it's wrong to question it
it's kind of a you got to have faith kinda thing to believe it

5) It's the biggest snoozer ever compiled. If someone wrote a honkin' pile-o-carp like that these days, they'd never get it published. But since a bunch of anonymous ignorant ancient goat herders wrote it, it's a best seller.

1. my grandmother rereads it every year. (im going to try next year)
2. just read a few chapter's a day, make it a habit.
3. I have complete faith.

5. I love reading verses when im upset.. they encourage me and renew my faith..
