hey does anyone know any good indie/rock songs to download

Indie/rock, huh? My band tastes aren't quite the same as yours, but I can recommend you some classics to at least built up your indie cred. Built to Spill are great. They totally inspired Modest Mouse. But you sound like you may prefer the heavier stuff. Definitely try Ted Leo and the Pharmacists or The New Pornographers. The Research are pretty fantastic soft indie britpop. Try finding a song of theirs called "I Love You, But..."

Mates of State are softer, too. You may like them. Or you may have them already. Got any Ben Kweller? He's catching on to the scenes. I dunno. I tried. xD Hope I helped a little.
