God and his free time

In darkness and light the truth remains Asked by jester_x 3 months ago, 14 answers.

Assuming there is a God. Do you think He runs everything directly or do you think He has everything running in a self suffecent state and intervens when nessecary? Everything seems it runs in a cycle. The wind blows cause of the uneven heating of the...

earth. Did God set that up and let it go or dose He directly blow the wind? Applying this to a larger world view if God created the world to be self suffecent then what dose God do with His free time.

one thing that is wonderful about our lives is God created us with free will like if you choose to praise satan then go ahead..he doesnt made us to be like robots that will obey in his orders..and I think God do not intervene like if its your time to die its really your time...period.. I think God is always watching us in his free time

ok take this into consideration, everything is WAY to perfect so there must be some sort of higher power because all life as we know it that thrives on earth could be killed soo many different ways. if god did make the earth, and all of the elements to work properly he must of had some way of being consistently keeping them going. as our world adapts like all living organisms... so why think of it as such a complicated perspective?

I jsut remeber that time isnt the same here as in God's heaven or where ever. Pluse God is timeless. wow even more now. I guess its true about us not knowing or being able to comerhend God's ways.

I think god has a staff of "little people" who attend to his needs and those of the world. That way he is free to spend his time playing chess or doing puzzles... When god tells them that someone has been good, they help to prepare a special gift...when they have been bad, they prepare quite a different "gift" for the little sinners...

wait, sorry I was thinking of Santa.

God has set all this in motion and knew what everyone was going to do before He even made man. He is just too awesome to behold.
He even knew you were going to think what you just thought!
All time is His!

I believe that God has his hand in everything. He is fully capable of running the Earth's business. Yes, he created things to run on their own, sort of. Take a tree for instance, with the right amount of sun light, water and nutrience it grows on it's own. But it's God's design. I'ts up to him how and where it grows and when it dies. He substanes our very breath. If he decides it's our last it will be.Nothing happends in this world that God doesn't know about. Every living and natural thing was created by God. The earth has been cursed since the fall of man.Hence-earth quakes, tornado, ect. And it is doomed to die just like people. We can be saved by confessing Jesus as our savior and serving him, but the earth will pass away.

Speak for yourself. A lot looks decidedly _Un_perfect to me. Tailbones and appendixes, cultural and religious genocide, malaria mosquitoes and gangrene bacteria, to name but a few.

Well the bible speaks saying that not even a sparrow will not die without him knowing. I think he runs everything directly.

Don't forget the panda thumbs, arachnid. Any God who came up with that genius little appendage is a God that is incredibly bad at creating things.

When good things happen, it's god running things directly. When bad things happen, it's because he has the universe on autopilot so he can obsess over our sex lives and petition to get the 10 commandments posted in public schools - his two top priorities.

I don't think God intervenes much. People were blessed with free will. So any consequences we suffer are due to the actions we did or did not take. Some people think God has a master plan and no matter what path in life we take we always end up at our destiny. Other people believe that God controls everything. Its up to your own interpretation.
