is there any way to get rid of your period?

is there any way to get rid of your period? because I hate mine.

well there's not too many ways to get "rid" of it, unfortunatly. there is some birth controls out there that will make it shorter or possibly go away. I got the mirena iud put in in april 08 and havent had a period since. but doc told me I was one one the lucky girls because only about 20% of girls will stop their periods while having the iud in. pregnancy can stop it for 9 months too, but I would say thats the last resort. good luck

There most definitely are ways but your cycle can be a very good indicator of health -there certainly is a plus side.

If you take Birth control pills back to back your period will NOT come. You should get off the pills at least every 4 or 6 months to give your body a chance to flush itself out.
