Why do people believe in ghosts if no one's seen one?

Why people believe on ghost when no one has seen it till now?

I agree with you. I dont believe in ghosts. I think ghosts are a bunch of lies and odd circomstances that can lure the gullable and stupid people like my sister.

Eccept for the holy Ghost. I do beieve in him.

Its probably the same reason why the only documented 'demonic possessions' were on people who were strictly religious, that suffered from psychological problems.

Funny how we're the exact opposite. I believe in spirits except for the holy one.

I've seen ghosts, by the way. My great-grandma used to keep spirits around the house - allegedly to protect us. She was a shaman. When she died we sold the house and got the hell out of there.

people believe in ghosts because they want to believe that there is an afterlife...

If you don't see the Holy Ghost then how do you know he's real? It's up to you what you believe in. Everyone's believes are different.

Well ghosts have been seen for hundreds of years. There are photos of them, recording, videos that have professionally proven to be true. Today we don't dispute the truth that ghosts do exist? Our guardian angel is "a form of a ghost" When a love one dies their energy which cannot die lives (so to speak) on. It is no coincidence that after someone we were very close to dies that we still feel them around us...perhaps we smell them, hear them...and yes we can see them sometimes.

I don't believe in ghosts, but I do believe in spirits (and they are definitely two different things). I'm not sure if you're talking about "ghosts" or spirits. But people have seen spirits for ages and you don't need to be religious for that or something. Not sure about ghosts, I think people who "see" ghosts need to see a therapist.

what are you talking about Siva? I saw ghost everyday when I lived in Pakistan and I saw one again when I came back to my country.

Ghosts are real! People have pictures! I've even seen one. ( a ghost, not a picture).

Ghosts? (as in spirits from past dead people) Nope, they dont exist. Demons? you bet they are here and strong as ever. Demons are at the command of satain (his angels). ...and yes they do roam the earth and will show up when invited, sometimes even if not invited. Anyone that sees a ghost or what they "think" or told is a ghost, is actually seeing a demon that is decieving them to appear as something else or what they are told it is. Demons have 2 tools to work with. The tool of "fear" and the tool of "deception" and they are very good with both.

So what can you do if you feel a demon is around you? The bible teaches that they can easily be sent on their way by the mention of Jesus Christ, and commanded them to leave "IN THE NAME OF JESUS".

If you do not believe in God, hey you dont have anything to worry about do you? ...but if you really really really do not believe in God, then test demons, call them out loud in actual voice (not thought) to come to your home, then when unexplained events start happening, remember you dont believe in it,<wink> ..but somehow your conscience of fear will no longer buy into the "everything can be explained" theory.

Its all in the bible, or a trip to see a local minister can also explain it.

...but NEVER fear a demon, they may seem like something that will totally overtake you or try to scare the daylights out of you, or even make you think they are someone from the dead (remember their fear and deception tool?) ..but in truth, they aint nothing but a school yard bully that tucks his tail and runs when someone stands up to him. ..but remember, they dont leave because "YOU" tell them to, they leave because they fear God, and with your command of them to leave in the "name" of Jesus,then those guys will take off very cowardly. (got to admit, its cheaper than calling "ghostbusters" <grin>

I was asked once why an atheist never seems to have seen a ghost. Why would they? Why would a demon want to bother someone that already supports their side?

WOW, I got to quit writing, this is getting waaay too long, but its a fun topic, and is one not to underestimate it. Ghosts? nope, ...but Demaons? yep they are around regardless if you want to acknowldge it or not.

We need a topic here that asks if there is such a thing as an honest politican. I hear there are some folks that have claimed to have seen a couple of those in their lifetime too ...nite folks
