What are some good eye makeup tips?

I'm pretty good at eye makeup (smokey eye, all that good stuff) but I always love getting new tips, anybody?

My best friend does this cool trick where she uses a sequence of colors to make a rainbow eye liner! : ]

Oh! I forgot to mention that she uses eye shadow for that trick.

yeahh I loved the whole layered eyeshadow look too as long as its not "cakey"

hmm.. I love taking eye liner brushes and taking my eye shadow and either putting a dallop[[barely the size of a pea] of either lotion or water to create a more defined color statement.
in example: I'll first dust the eyelid with lets say my fav shade of purple eyeshadow..but then to give a dramatic look. I'll take that same purple and add the watter or lotion and then go over the whole crease or just the outside corner of the eye crease. it looks sooo pretty when its all done..especially when your eyeshadow has shimmer or glitter in it. then it really pops.. the darker the colors..the more glam it will look =]

Ps. using lotion or petroleum jelly will make it last longer..and make it easier to remove. oh extra bonus..your eyes will be softer too lol
