Ok you know how adam and eve were meant for each other
And they had kids well then there kids had kids well who did there kids marry
Can brother and sister get married
Im just wondering

No brothers and sisters did not get married. God created different lands with other people on them. Just because Adam and Eve were the "first" to be created doesn't mean they were the last.

In the Early days and times it is very possible they married brothers and sisters. . .Abraham was married to his half sister. this is recorded in the bible.

lilbluemm: There's absolutely no mention of that in the bible. The first we hear about Cain's wife is Genesis 4:17:
"And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch."

No mention of where Cain's wife came from. If God created more people from scratch, that'd be a rather large omission, wouldn't it? Moreover, at this point Eve has had only two children, Cain and Able, so the only one Cain could have married is... Eve, his mother.

What does it matter, it is an alogorical fable. It is the same as asking how does santa deliver all the presents in one night.

To anyone who believes the story of adam and eve is actually true, I have a nice bridge in brooklyn I could sell you real cheap.

Even ancient Jews knew that the story of Adam and Eve was allegorical rather than literal. The Biblical literalism movement seems to be based on reading the Bible after having had a lobotomy.

During their lives, Adam and Eve had a number of male and female children. In fact, the Jewish historian Josephus wrote, “The number of Adam’s children, as says the old tradition, was thirty-three sons and twenty-three daughters.”

Scripture doesn’t tell us how many children were born to Adam and Eve, but considering their long life spans (Adam lived for 930 years—Genesis 5:5), it would seem logical to suggest there were many. Remember, they were commanded to “be fruitful, and multiply” (Genesis 1:28).

If we now work totally from Scripture, without any personal prejudices or other extrabiblical ideas, then back at the beginning, when there was only the first generation, brothers would have had to marry sisters or there wouldn’t have been any more generations!

We’re not told when Cain married or many of the details of other marriages and children, but we can say for certain that Cain’s wife was either his sister or a close relative.

A closer look at the Hebrew word for “wife” in Genesis reveals something readers may miss in translation. It was more obvious to those speaking Hebrew that Cain’s wife was likely his sister. (There is a slim possibility that she was his niece, but either way, a brother and sister would have married in the beginning.) The Hebrew word for “wife” used in Genesis 4:17 (the first mention of Cain’s wife) is ishshah, and it means “woman/wife/female.”

And Cain knew his wife [ishshah], and she conceived and bore Enoch. And he built a city, and called the name of the city after the name of his son—Enoch (Genesis 4:17).
The word ishshah is the word for “woman,” and it means “from man.” It is a derivation of the Hebrew words ‘iysh (pronounced: eesh) and enowsh, which both mean “man.” This can be seen in Genesis 2:23 where the name “woman” (ishshah) is given to one who came from Adam.

And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman [ishshah], because she was taken out of Man [iysh]” (Genesis 2:23).
Thus, Cain’s wife is a descendant of Adam/man. Therefore, she had to be his sister (or possibly niece). Hebrew readers should be able to make this connection easier; however, much is lost when translated.

Brothers and sisters marrying? Wow, I didn't know the garden of eden was in Kentucky.

There are some churches that believe the races were created before Adam and Eve. They say that this is what is meant by the 2 different creation accounts in Genesis (God makes male and female at one time; later he makes Adam, then Eve separately).

I think it's just a myth anyway but it was not uncommon for siblings to marry in ancient times.

here's what I was told about 3 weeks ago. I had a dif. question among the same lines since the bible says incest is an abomination to God. maybe there were other people on earth before Adam and Eve. But when God says he created them in his image it was the first time God had been introduced to man therefore they were to follow in his footstpes. make sense? and if they werent the only ones on earth then there might of been other peole there who werent relatives. if you read the bible it says God looked @ the earth and saw it was dissoriented. not there was nothing there. He may of ade everything on earth but it was after he saw how "dissoriented" the earth looked at the tie. Some one tell me what you think about this theory too. it wasnt made up by me a friend who is also a preacher explained it to me this way. wrong?

yep they can just not in USA. Actually only one country and that's only halfs.
But there are like 18 USA states that allow cousins to get married.
