yes, I tottally agree wit you, I understand some advice may have to appear mean but sometimes thats just the way the truth is, but just bein flat out rude, no, I will admit it, I have posted some mean posts, but I didnt do it on purpose, I agree, it should be helpful, on topic, and not rude
yeah they should. but sometimes they dont really need advice.. because it might be a stupid question..
You have to see things from everyone's perspective, I'm a rude a$$ sometimes, but only when I feel that being nice won't get my point across... Say to the questions about all the 13 and 14 year olds wanting to know about sex... I'm a father of a 7 year old and if I found out he was getting 'advice' with some of the questions that pop up on here, I think I'd throw the computer out my window. And also the word 'advice' if I'm not mistaken is relative to 'opinion', so everyone can have their own on each topic...
Plus some people are just a$$holes and I could name one or two on here myself...
Yes, we agree.
In fact, thedude (site founder and owner), just posted about this a day or so ago:

Worst of all are those who believe that every question about teen pregnancy provides the perfect venue to scream at them for not being abstinent. Some of these girls have got to be scared out of their minds, and instead of helpful advice, they get an earful about how they're making Jesus cry.

Does anyone else agree that advice given should be helpful?

So I actually was just reading a question, where someone was asking not for advice, but rather for a reason why someone may do somehting. There were a lot of helpful advice, and some not. Some people were saying, 'just move on in life' Personally, I feel like this site should be for anyone who wants to post a question and get helpful advice/critisicm. Does it bother anyone else when people say rude things when you are asking for advice? or when people tell you to 'shut up and thats just the way life is'. Personally, I don't like it but thats just me. And I know I may have posted some advice that seemed mean, but I really didn't do it to be rude to others. So does anyone else agree with me?
