Anal sex can be very painful if it is not done properly. You should always use protection and a nice waterbased lubrication. If this is something you are looking into you should position yourself at a slant with your butt in the air and be sure to relax your muscles, yes there will be a pain the first few times you do it, but much like sex you will get used to the pain and maybe even enjoy it if that is what you're into.
It can be painful, but if you do it a couple of times and whatnot and like what others have said, relax yourself... If you are uptight about it then it hurts... But just relax and let him do his thing. I honestly don't think there is ANY education necissary. That'd be like me telling you to read about touching him before you do it. Seriously hun, come on. He's a man, he knows what he's doing. Just don't worry yourself too much and go with the flow
Anal sex is the most risky sexual activity you can engage in and you should never have anal sex without a condom. The most commonly discussed danger is HIV/AIDS; which is most easily transferred through the anus. A small tear in the sphincter can become a highway for HIV. The anus also absorbs STD’s more easily than the vagina does leading to a higher chance of contracting a disease. Hepatitis A is commonly transferred through fecal matter so it becomes a much larger concern than in other types of sex. A growing concern of anal is the HPV virus which can cause genital warts and is currently leading to a rise in cases of anal cancer. These dangers and more are transferable not only by an ejaculate inside the anus; but by penetration as well. Physical damage can result from anal sex (protected or not) like bleeding, trouble going to the bathroom, etc. Probably the only worry you would not have with unprotected anal sex is pregnancy, so please be safe and use a condom and proper lubrication every time.

ok in response to ryanjames...just because he is a "man" does not mean he knows what hes doing lol. and you DO need to educate yourself on the topic. Many people think that anal sex makes you lose control of your bowel movements. This is only because you need to know your bowel schedule and put yourself on a high fiber diet (like bananas) to prevent...well...basically any kind of mess. It sounds gross but its been known to happen to many people who have anal sex without researching it first. Also, water-based lube is very important. Breathing deeply while participating in anal sex will help you to relieve yourself of any tension and make it much less painful.
An*l sex can be very painful at times, you have to take it slow, I should know, im a gay guy and im a bottom. after you get "loose" it shouldnt hurt, if it still hurts then an*l sex isnt for you!
