yeah I think so
I have dark brown hair, I usually get red highlights... they do show
but I dont know about black on brown...
I have done both of those
yess they show up great I love mine
I have really drak brown hair
black sure be fine but red is something you may want to think about color bealch and how you might react on you hair color
you could lighten the overall color of your hair to a medium brown and then put the black streaks in..it may show up more. The deep red would look good too. With dark brown hair, it make be too close to the dark brown to notice the streaks of color.
they do most of the time ... my hair was dark brown and I dyed it black and people could tell
n183 didn't tell you how to lighten your hair first (if you wanted to do that). All you have to do if you want the medium color, is to get a blonde hair color (not bleach). That won't make your hair blonde. It will just bring it to a medium brown with a reddish tint. Clairol Balsam is good because it's only about $3 a box. If your hair is long, you'll need two boxes.
However, the black and dark brown should go well together and even if it didn't show up like you expected, you can always try another way.
Try just leaving your hair the same and add the black where you want it. I think the red would look good too if you're into that Goth stuff.

Do black highlights show up on dark brown hair?
Ok, I want to get black hightlights in my air, or a deep red thats reallly cute, but I dont know if theyll show up. Can anybody help?
