Do all toddlers go through the terrible twos? I know a toddler who is three, and has been an exceptionally well behaved child thus far. Will he go through the terrible twos late or did he skip that phase?

All children, as well as all adults are individuals (different)....I'm sure there are those who go through tranquil-twos.

Dear mugsy,
The name terrible twos was given as a stage because this age is when they are starting to know what they want but are having a hard time to articulate it to adults. Tantrums, crying, whining etc. are all way of them communicating. The stage is normal and is when handled properly is easily overcome.
