Should i stop piano if my mom likes my teacher?

Asked by babbyl about 1 year ago, 7 answers.

I just found out that my parents are getting a divorce, and my mom is leaving my dad for my piano teacher! I love taking piano, but I'm thinking of quitting so my mom and my teacher will stop flirting. I don't know what to do!

I know it's hard for you, but there's times in life where things don't go as you expected. Things will happen that you don't want and the best thing you can do is "Try" to move on, I've experienced some things where moving on is the only thing to do. Right now you have to be strong, some people fall in love, some people fall out of it. I'm sorry for what happened but that was your moms choice to do it. The best thing you can do right now is try to move on, it's hard...very hard but you must do it.

Hey, I don't think you should stop taking piano if you love it. Maybe you could find another piano teacher or talk to your mom. You can't help it if your mom likes your piano teacher. Besides if you do choose to give it up than well your mom might find another way to see your piano teacher if she really does like him. So just do what you feel is right for you!

Assuming that you like playing the piano, tell your Mom that you have to switch piano teachers. Tell her that if you stay with the present one it would be wrong for you. It would be like siding against your Dad.

Don't let your parents use you to hurt the other.

it won't solve the problem if you just quit your lessons, your mom will find another way to see your teacher if she really likes him ,do what you love tell your mom that you want to change the teacher , and keep taking piano lessons ,stick to the things you really care about ,it will make you feel better, and be sure that the divorce isn't your fault, its just their choice ,and they will keep loving you no matter what happened ,and they will always be there for you whenever you need them, take care, good luck.

Well if your mother's and piano teacher's love is strong, then if you quit it(your piano lesson), and find another piano teacher, maybe your old piano teacher will come to your house to visit you and your mother.

Tell your mum how you feel and say that you are not comfortable with this teacher.
