Distorted body image?

Asked by fau 21 days ago, 3 answers.

I'm 8 stone (112 pounds) I'm 5ft 2 or 3. I look in the mirror loads and loads, each time I can't stand it so look away. I weigh myself 7-8 times a day. When I look in the mirror I see HUGE thighs. And my belly sticks out. I hate it so much. I've been in...

tears. I started smoking and drinking a lot, all it made me do was get even more stressed out about it all. All I get is: "You aren't fat. Stop being so attention seeking." And sh*t like that. but I can't help it.

I don't want to talk to anyone about this. I want some friendly advice. please?

and could anyone give me any tips to get skinnier legs?

I'm 98 pounds and wish that I WAS 112. You know how much it sucks when clothing falls off of you? To feel weak, enfeebled, and like a scrawny piece of sh*t? I feel unattractive because I'm not as voluptuous and desirable for not having enough meat. Everyone has a belly. Just get some exercise and stop with the smoking and the drinking; it adds to a floppy physique.

I guess you despise your appearance, as do many others (no one is without a fault) but what you see as disgusting another might find beautiful and as sick as that makes you try to figure out who sees these qualities and attempt to glimpse yourself through their eyes. Like for example, I like large thighs. Thighs are pleasant. What you should be doing is accommodating your flaws until you find an appearance that fits. Like I'm terribly bony but I wear the tightest, stiffest clothing I can find. Why not accentuate what you despise most in a form of either some interesting garments or bodily art. Think of yourself as a dirty canvas that simply needs a splash of terpenoid and be done with it. But don't take my advice, my self image is as distorted as a person with cataracts peering through a coke bottle.

its possible you have an eating dissorder
especially becase you feel the need to weight yourself so often
go to a doctor
get your bmi (body mass index) correctly calculated for your height and age
he/she will be able to tell you if your underweight, average, overweight, or obese
and you can take it from there
it would also be good if you speak up about how you feel, talk to your friends, parent, counsellor, doctor, teacher, ect
getting it off your chest can make you feel a lot better
because this problem wont just go away unless you seek help
and tell people you have a problem
