Difference between inches and pounds?

I herd that sum people loose inches and not pounds!
I think im one of those b/c every time I loose weight the scale dosnt move but my clothes fits loose. so whats the diff between pounds and inches??

thats because your loosing fat and gaining muscle at the same time

xxmaionxx - I think the question was why aren't you losing pounds if you are losing inches, not the difference between the two

And like tabzthestar said, you lose fat and gain muscle... muscle is more dense than fat...
