Did your mom and dad ever say"if i have to tell you one more time"?

You are going to get it ! lol.
Did your parents ever make funny threats like that and what did they say when they were mad ?
I am refering to normal disapline type actions and not abusive things . Ok ?

I believe the phrase was:
"I am not going to tell you again. "
The "if you"/"if you don't" ... threats, you mean?
Nope... not my Mom, - that I can remember-
and sure-as-hell not my Dad.
(I'm the one always promising mayhem, "If..."
I grew up in a home where everyone was entitled to their "say"
- politely. I also grew up in a home where we knew who was
running the show. The Parents. (They: "Chiefs" ; we: "indians."
No "V" chip at our house.
When my Mother said, "I don't think you should see that."
she wasn't kidding.
Age-appropriate was a VERY big deal at our house.
"Parents' Magazine" was THE authority on movies.
There was discusion; sometimes I got to see something
she had misgivings about; sometimes not.
Nagging was not recommended.
It seemed to work very well.

I remember what Mom would say when she told me to do
something, and I said, "I don't want to."
She said, smiling, "You don't have to want to. You just have
to do as I ask."

EDIT: Oh! This is funny -to me- NOW, anyway... heh
My Dad was a big guy; (6'3" and 'change') and he had a
VERY deep voice.
When I was a teenager, the joke at our house was:
If the phone rang and Dad answered,
and the caller instantly hung up; it was a boy, for me.
Scared them, that voice did... };>

Yea all the time. I thought it was funny though how she would say it again. lol oh yeah and when she used your middle name, you better hide

Yes, always!
I was real annoyed whenever my mom would say that. My dad for that matter wasn't too hard on me so he never really did any discipline on me. It was mostly my mom.
Although, my older sister would say that to my knieces. And boy, she would discipline them good. What childhood memories we have.

I hated that too! Getting talked to while getting hit. My moms favourite thing to say was : "DIDN'T *whack* I *whack* TELL *whack* YOU?!?!" hahaha

ahh the memories...

I didnt get hit much though. My mom only followed through like 3 times hahaha. But I must have deserved it hahahalol
