Dear xfashionfreakx,
I met my hubby on the internet. We met on a email pen-pal site. He wrote to me and we kept in contact for an entire year before we met. We got to know each other very well first before meeting. When we did meet we were like old friends...this is the key to a internet relationship; knowing as much about the person as you possibly can before meeting. We were together for another year before we married. You never meet anyone from the internet alone, you never rush into being with them and most of all if you are young you do not make them your only relationship...There has been many molestations, rapes and deaths associated with young girls thinking they met Mr. Right on the internet. So I suggest this type of relationship should be for the older set.
Sue...good luck
I agree with Sue90's advice above. I met my wife on an Internet dating site. We corresponded initially via the sites internal email which kept things as anamyous as we were comfortable with and then switched to our regular emails and telephone calls. After about 6 months I flew to Europe to visit her (I live in the U.S.) we continued to correspond via daily emails and weekly telephone calls for about 14 months while the immigration service processed her visa request. We were married shortly after the arrived here (the law required that we marry within 45 days as that is the term of the fiancee visa. We have been married for over 4 years and are very happy. Just go about it carefully and use common sense when doing this. Good luck!
Me and my boyfriend met on the internet on complete accident. We're getting married this summer. Neither one of us ever had any intentions of finding a relationship online. I've always disagreed with it. I still kinda do, but there are some special situations. Love finds you, you dont find it. I dont think people should look for relationships through the internet. Its just not safe.
I once met a guy online over this summer we talked everyday and also called each other on the phone I became like obsessed with him I guess you can say I fell in love with him but our online relationship ended and we stopped talkin around the ending of the summer when school started back up
