Did obama really not salute the flag?

not salute to the flag. I heard he didn't salute, but I don't want to judge without knowing the facts.

The photograph was taken on September 16, 2007, at Senator Tom Harkin's annual steak fry festivities in Iowa. Contrary to the e-mails attacking Obama for disrespecting the flag, the candidates were NOT reciting the pledge of allegiance. They were standing for the national anthem. If we want to say something then mention the fact that all those in the picture we disrespecting the flag - for what we can ascertain they were facing away from it.

No, but seriously, there was a picture of Obama not saluting the flag at an event in Iowa with the other Democratic candidates. It's a real photo, but it's just a photo, and Obama has been seen saluting the flag many other times. Who knows why he wasn't saluting in that particular photo, and more importantly, who cares?

I doubt Obama is a communist, but unfortunately we no longer have the HUAC to investigate these things.

he did that once, and it wasnt like he was protesting america...he was still standing towards the flag and had his hands folded respectfully, I think he just forgot.

I think there is a quote of him saying that he was in the moment of the anthem being played and forgot to put his hand on his heart

Part of me thinks he's not a true patriot or anything because he's part Musslum.
