A&d Ointment
Diaper Rash Cream
Baby Powder
Let your baby go without a diaper for about an hour a day to get some air down there, it helps a lot.

Desitin extra creamy always helps the best. If my daughter even had the tiniest bump on her bum, I would use it and it would be gone by her next diaper change. You can also avoid it better by maybe changing diapers...some are better quality and keep moisture off the skin better than others.

Instead of using baby soap in the bath, wash with sorboline cream, and like the others said, a good airing with no nappy on for a while helps dry the rash out.

A&D does wonders, especially for children who a sensitive to zinc...but in my experience, {{and it will sound odd}} equate brand diaper rash cream seems to work better than desitin.
If there are serious red bumps and creams dont seem to work, it may be a yeast infection {{yes, even if the bumps are on the childs rear}}. Nystatin seems to help best for that, but you can only get it though a prescription.
Letting them go without a diaper, like mandyloo said, is also very helpful.
