No, unfortunatly
bu there are treatments. Really, don't use them till you need to , they can f*ck you up.
I've witnessed 2 different people deal with them, 1 took them every day, the other only when they they felt to need to & they're better off really.

There is no "cure" for diabetes, but there is control. There are two types of Diabetes.
Type I is also called Juvenile Diabetes, and there is nothing you can do about it except take insulin and follow a diet as directed by your physician.
Type II is also called Age Onset Diabetes. This usually shows up in your 40s or 50s. You can help reduce the risk of onset of this type of diabetes by maintaining a healthy weight, excercise, and eat a sensible, balanced diet that does not include concentrated sugars or carbs.
Since diabetes can be catastrophic to your health, it is very important not to ignore any symptoms, such as excessive thirst, frequent urination, or changes in vision. Whatever type and severity of Diabetes you might be diagnosed with, it is IMPERATIVE that you NOT try to "self treat." The advise above to only treat the disease when you feel the need to is absolutely irresponsible, and can cause you SEVERE DAMAGE or DEATH. Follow your doctor's advice to the letter, and make SURE you don't make any changes without his/her knowledge or permission. Some of the negative results of poorly treated diabetes can include blindness, kidney failure, neurological damage, and even coma or death. DON'T try to treat this yourself, and DON'T get "creative.". For example, don't "take a day off" from your insulin regimen. You can really mess yourself up if you do.
