Symptoms of diabetes, outside of the obvious with blood sugar levels can be mistaken for everyday colds and other conditions. Your best bet is to go to the doctor and have the test performed if you believe you are suffering from said disease.

High blood levels of glucose can cause several problems, including frequent urination, excessive thirst, hunger, fatigue, weight loss, and blurry vision.

Maybe you should go to a 2nd doctor to get another opinion diabetes is a serious thing (my grandma has diabetes) if both doctors say you don't have diabetes then there's your answer =)
