in the UK, the dog trust lets people take dogs out for walks and stuff. I don't think you will get paid for it, especially since most shelters are run by charitys...it supposed to be a 'because you love it thing'
maybe if you went into private 'dog sitting' but you would need to organise this as a business and be fully commited to it, in addition I think the competition is fierce and the work is considered a luxury thing.
contact your local shlters, theres only one way to find out (though I wouldn't mention the getting paid bit first, or at all actually until you have started!) can you imagine the applications list if this was the job;
person wanted for charity dog shleter. job invloves, playing with dogs and puppys, waling them, generally having fun, meals included. pay competative!
I don't think they have any trouble lol!
No you wouldnt get paid, the people who do that stuff are volunteers... but you could dog sit for other people and get paid

Could I get paid for this?
Send me Fun Mail
I love dogs. And I was wondering, do you think I'd get paid for going to my animal shelter & taking the dogs out of their cage & play with them for awhile? Like in the big play pen area, I guess you could call it, lol. Even if I didnt get paid, that'd be totally fine with me.
