How to convince my mom for a tongue ring?

Asked by fau about 1 year ago, 8 answers.

okay, so I'm 14, turning 15 in about a month and a half.
I want to get my tongue pierced for my birthday and I've asked my mom about it..
but she's still unsure.. im not stupid enough to do it myself or have it done unprofessionally..
but what are some...

good ways to talk her into it or things to say to her?

HAHA, thats how old I was when I conviced my mom to get it for welll heres what I did first I came home with my labert peired told her I did it myself... so then I told her I wanted to get my tongue pierced... and if she didnt get it for me I would do it myself and she knew if you do that type of thing your self you can hit a vein and bleed to death or lose your taste buds forever so she was alittloe scared for me and just took me to get it done professionally =)

thanks for the people who have answered... it's not for oral, I'm not into that; it seems gross.
but I think the tongue ring is really cool, I mean I don't want to do it myself
and screw up my face or whatever.. but it's something I really want to get
done, and just like one person said, I could take it out, it's just a hole
that would go away in a few days. I'm not a bad kid for the ones who
disapprove of it, I make straight A's, im in all honors, I have a job, I pay
for my own cell phone and bought my own laptop, so im very responsible
and mature for my age. I just wanted to know a few things to say to my mom..

WRONG, if you take it out in the first couple months, yes, if it's in for years, it will NEVER close completely, I PROMISE you. If you are so responsible, just wait till ure 18, nothing feels better than walking in and flashing YOUR I.d, not your moms, I know, believe me...besides, that niffty lil job you have may make you take it out, and I'm pretty sure school will. NO point in spending money for it, having a hole punched through ure tongue just to take it out the next day and it close. THEN if you want it again there will be scar tissue to go through, not fun!

no, my job and school doesn't make us take them out...
tons of people have them done at school and my 'co-worker' has his done.
